Dr. Tinsley is an orthopaedic surgeon specializing in hand, wrist, and elbow surgery as well as orthopaedic trauma surgery. He obtained his undergraduate degree in philosophy and competed in track and field at Boston University. He then earned his medical degree from Boston University School of Medicine and completed orthopaedic surgery residency at the University of Connecticut Health Center. He went on to fellowship training in hand and upper extremity surgery at the Rothman Institute in Philadelphia.
Dr. Tinsley has contributed numerous articles in peer-reviewed journals and presentations at national meetings on improving bone healing, gene therapy, and management of upper extremity disorders. He has special interest in complex fracture care, minimally invasive arthroscopic techniques, carpal tunnel syndrome, nerve injuries and “wide awake hand surgery”.
